Problem with ASUS A7V333 and Radeon 9700PRO

I have a big problem. I have an Asus A7V333 bios 1017, and a Tyan Radeon 9700PRO. It's a great combination...BUT! When I try to play Pirates of the Caribbean, I get a blue screen (Clear blue) and the computer freeze. It's only in that game though. I have seen on Asus homepage that the A7V333 had problems with the Radeon cards (randomly freeze). Have updated to the newest Bios. Anyone have had the same problem or know what to do?
My System:
Amd Athlon XP2400+
Asus A7V333 bios version 1017
512MB DDR PC2700 (Samsung)
Tyan Radeon9700 PRO-M
Seagate 120 Giga HD
Seagate 80 Giga HD
Pioneer 106d DVD+/- Burner
Aopen 32x12x48 cdr-rw

updating your bios and drivers, and patching the game, would be all that you could do. the tech support site for the game might have some tweaks listed that could help you.

Hi. thx for the fast reply.
First... I have all the newest drivers and updates installed.
Second... There's no update for Pirates yet.
Maybe I should throw my mobo in the trash and buy another one

rofl. nah, tht issue will be addressed shortly from someone, probably asus. with no guarantee that a different board wouldnt produce the same, or its own unique problems. the tech support areas of most major games are usually quite good, give that a try. sometimes its just changing a number in an ini file that does the trick.

Is that board a VIA chipset? If so, is your ram one dimm? Or two dimms? If it is two dimms, try removing just one of the dimms, and see if the problem goes away.
