i have a problem with my burner every time i burn some music to it and then put it in the cd-rom or leave it in the burner and try to play it and i hear nothing, i see the little scroll thing move and the time tick while it plays but i dont hear it. and i do have all my audio stuff working. does the speed of my burner make a difference? well its 2x and the discs i have say 12x, well if anyone can help id be in debt to you.

first of all, the problem has nothing to do with the type of speed the cd-r youre using can burn at. secondly, can your burned cd's play fine on a regular cd layer?

are you able to play a regular cd in the drive?
sounds like you dont have the little cable that runs from the cd-rom to the sound card. usually you get one with your sond card. without it you wont hear music played from that cd drive.

no i cant play it on a regular cd player and the hook ups are fine on both the rom and burner.

can you play a regular music cd in the cd-rom drive in your computer? a burned music cd will not play in most cd players if its in mp3 format, you have to convert it to .wav files for it to play on a regular cd player.

well the format of the music is ".cdw" is that the problem or is that the same as .wav?
