laptop graghics

I am looking to buy a laptop but I am not satisified with the idea of shared graghics memory. I was wondering if there is a way I could buy and install a seperate card where I could have dedicated memory and good graghics. If you have any information it would be great. Also if this is possible and you know a website that sells these graghics cards it would be great. Thanks

Look for a notebook that comes with a separete notebook card.
Such as Dell. Certain model, it has a replaceable videocard so you can update it.

The new Alienware Mobiles have upgradeable graphics, but of course you will be paying a whole freaking lot, but it's an option

A lot of laptops these days actually give you the option of upgrading the video card (or some just come packaged in). The Toshiba I got a year ago had a GeForce4 GO 440 in it (which is equivalent to about a GeForce 2/3 when it comes to performance).
