Memory problem

Hi this is my first post,
Yesterday i tried to upgrade a packard bell iconnect system from 128MB (2x64MB) pc100 to 256MB (2x128MB) pc133 but the bios reads the two chips as only 64MB for a total of 128MB . I cant gain access to the bios as its password protected and clearing it via the jumper does not remove the password. I've left the battery out and upluged it which should clear it soon.
If anyone has any ideas i'd be thankful,
specs are:- intel cel 766EB, intel 8210 chipset
