XP Install Error

Help! when i install XP i get an error during the installation that says to run a memory check and check with my system admin. it gives me this string:

***STOP 0x0000007F (0x0000000D, 0X00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

What does this mean?

Here are my system specs:
ABIT NF7-M nForce motherboard
AMD Athlon XP 1800+
256MB DDR PC-3200 Mushkin Enhanced RAM
Maxtor 40 GB HDD
Generic Brand DVD/CD-RX Combo 52x24x52 RX 16x DVD speed
300 W power supply

I'm guessing it means you have some bad ram. Get a ram checking boot disk like goldmemory or the like and test your DIMMs.

I believe it's a bad ram error code too.I had a blue screen like that constantly on a machine a few years back.Wreaked havoc,and drove me nuts,until I figured out what it was.NOT good, if that's the problem.The error codes you've posted are not exactly the same as the ones I got,but they're close (I got 'em on ME,that's probly why).I had a "Parity error" on mine.Sounds like the same/similiar thing has happened to your ram.

probably is a bad stick of ram, or bad slot on the mobo. but youre low on ram for xp, and the PS is kinda small too, although neither of those would give you an error.

ah that sux! that was brand new RAM too , ill get some more RAM and see if it was the RAM or the mobo. thx people
