Hey...I started my computer and I get a message that says "Error Starting Program...The c:\Windows\IEDLL.exe file appears to be corrupt. reinstall the file and try again"

How do I reinstall this?

IEDLL.EXE is a file associated with CoolWebSearch, which is spyware and an internet browser hijacker that probably installed itself automatically on your computer when you visited a not-so-nice website.

I seriously doubt you want this on your computer. IEDLL.EXE is not a file that's necessary for your computer to run, nor is it actually part of your operating system.

There is a removal tool specifically for CoolWebSearch at Annoyances.org.

I also recommend going out a downloading and running a copy of Spybot Search and Destroy. If you've got CoolWebSearch spyware on your computer, it's pretty likely you've got other nasty unknown programs as well.

Here is a good two page tutorial on Spybot S&D:

Click on more spybot help at the bottom of the first page to go to the second.
