Office XP Pro

I was sent software for Office XP Pro but cannot access it because I don't have the number they ask for - the product number I believe. How can I get this number?

The numbers your looking for should have been provided to you with the software. These numbers are to register the operating system.

Product keys are usually found on the manual or on the CD sleeves... if the software was a hand-me-down or given to you by a friend, ask them for the product key...

The only number I have is the serial number which is not accepted

Try to find out some basic details/descriptions/references on ANY documents that you may have with the actual software.Also-when you try/tried to install,did you notice any "Product I.D.",or "Version",or "Release" references on the "Splash"/"Install Wizard" screens? This may help to narrow down WHICH *PRODUCT* (Release ID/Release type) you need the number/info/description on when you go to the "Macrosloth" site,and look/do a search for product release/type/ID in their "Database/Product Line" section.

OK-,and this question may seem weird to you,but I'm a little unclear on your "product" *company* itself,so could could you clarify this for me,please? *FOR* "Office XP Pro"? Do you mean that it's an "Addon" type of "Component" made by *MICROSOFT*? Or made by *ANOTHER* company? If it's another company/"third-party",then the MS Product Database won't help much,maybe not at all...
