WHAT DOES THE SHARED MEAN?

does that mean its a crappy vid card than a 32 meg non shared ati radeon 7500

or crappier than a 9000 ati radeon mobility?

i dont get it...

can someone tell me what the best vid card for notebooks is.... thanx~!

Shared means the video card uses the system's RAM instead of its own. So if your laptop has 256mb of RAM, the video card takes 64mb of that for its own.

OK, Shared means that you use your systems regular memory as the Video memory. Now its not crappier than a 32mb card, or than the Radeon 9000, depending on the Onboard Video's processor. Yours is an ATI Radeon 345M, so your using a Radeon so your graphics should be fine, but what you want to do if you have shared, is to get enough ram, have a 512MB stick, and then have another 256 stick so you can max your shared video to 128mb, and still have another 640mb left over for system processes.

In short, its a perfect Video processor, as long as you have the available Ram, to share, and not sacrifice your systems performance.
