Strange cinematic problem

For some reason all the cinematics have this problem: the cinematic is split down the middle and the right half is on the left-hand side and the left half is on the right-hand side. there are also horizontal lines evenly spaced running down the screen during the fmvs and the colours seem to be mainly shades of yellow and blue. any ideas?
i'm using a PIII 800 with Trident CyberBlade-i1. If it's a driver problem could someone please point me to a new driver? i've tried to find an updated driver but haven't been successful.
any help at all would be welcome. thanks!
