Direct X 9.0?

I can't seem to install the whole thing of Direct X 9.0 for my windows xp. It says it doesnt have the Windows Logo on it. I also turned off the drivers signing and that still doesnt work. Im trying to get Halo to run and it says you must have Direct X 9.0. Also later i tried upating my computer off the microsoft website but it wouldn't install the update i clicked saying again it doesnt have the "Windows Logo Certaficate"?

Its actually not letting me install anything please someone help? it downloads-but doesnt install...

if youre getting the directx from microsofts site directly, youll need to wander into your settings on your OS and lower the security. disable the check for certificates, and other such stuff. DONT do this when getting things from other sites, only direct from the manufacturer.
