Gamecube Games

I only have 3 games for this system: Resident Evil, Resident Evil 0, and Eternal Darkness. Anybody have any recommendations for games, other than Zelda? I plan on getting Zelda for Xmas. I heard there was supposed to be a new Mario Kart coming out one of these days.

Yeah, Mario Kart: Double Dash comes out around November 11.

Blood Omen 2 is a good choice. Quite fun. Though most people tend to hate on it because it doesn't directly tie into the whole "End of Nosgoth/Raziel" story arc.

Edit: Oh. Rogue Squadron 2 is fun as well. Though Rogue Squadron 3 is going to blow it out of the water. If you like Star Wars, you might want to pick them up.

*sigh* I hate sounding like a broken record, but...

Metroid Prime Rules!

Ok, I've given my two pennies. (Throws pennies at random passer-bys)

Skies of Arcadia
F-Zero
Mario Sunshine
Soul Calibur 2

Im gonna recommened Mario Golf. Im renting it right now and Ill probably buy it soon after, as its pretty damn good. Its even better than the original one that was on NES.

Thats tough to beat. Nes Open kicked alot of ass... especially compared to the other golf titles at the time.

Mario Golf on the Nintendo 64 was quite fun, but since 2003, Tiger Woods has pretty much left the old "three press swing" system in the dust.

And gunslinger- did you ever finish Skies of Arcadia?

What's that like? I thought about picking it up, but wasn't sure if it was any good.

No, I have yet to finish it (though I'm right at the end), and yes, it's very, very, very good. Excellent story. Fun gameplay. Hard. I can't emphasize this enough. If you don't spend huge amounts of time running around killing random monsters for levels (I never do that), then the battles won't be easy. You have to manage your resources pretty well to survive a lot of them. It's more fun that way, if you ask me.

Anyay, the game is huge. I have over 50 hours logged in the game, and I haven't finished it; partly because I haven't had time, and partly because it's hard and I was getting my ass handed to me consistently.

I would definitely recommend it, though.

Edit: Oh, and ship battles. Ship battles. 'nuff said.

Awesome.

Is it your usual Final Fantasy-esque battle screen type shindig? Or did they switch it up somehow.

Posted by: Gunslinger

Well, there's so many different Final Fantasy battle systems, so I can't make a direct contrast. Let's just say that the battle system for this game is quite unique. You do have your normal 'attack' 'magic' 'item' 'defend' stuff, but there's an added fundamental that makes it different from the norm. Some attacks are positional (this isn't the aforementioned difference) a la chrono trigger, where an attack could harm anything in the line of sight).

Sounds pretty keen, and definatly worth getting.
