I recently loaded MS XP Home Edition. Now I am having trouble loading MS Office XP. I get a message, "Office1.cab corrupt" can not copy file MSACCESS.EXE
THANKS

sounds like you have a bad disk. the corrupt file is on the disk rather than your hard drive, right?

I DON'T THINK THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE cd. I CAN DOWNLOAD ON ANOTHER COMPUTER. ALSO I TRIED A COPY I MADE WHEN I GOT THE ORIGINAL CD. ALL MY PROBLEMS SEEM TO HAVE STARTED WHEN I UPGRADED TO WINDOWN XP.
THANKS, LARRY

The problem has nothing to do with your computer or your operating system. No way! Try another cd. I bet it works then.

It could be that the CD cannot be read by that particular drive due to dirt or grease. Try using a lense cleaning cloth or soft towel to wipe the cd data surface clean. Then try re-installing. It is unlikely that the problem is with your computer.
