----
id like recommendations for a 9600np (128) manufacturer
----
i was planning to get a ti 4200 128 at about $90 to make games playable, until i buy a top of the line card at the time of the doom 3 and half life 2 release.
after some reaserch i am now considering a radeon 9600 128, i am pretty sure the 9600 256meg is kind of superfluous.
so i am hoping you all will tell me the the 256 meg version is superfluous, cause if its not, then just a few bucks more would get me the pro version, and then thats a waste cause the 9600xt will play half life 2 and after the coupon its price is just a few bucks more i really dont want to go down this road.
anywayz, what are good brands for the 9600np 128, and what are the clock speeds of the card (to insure i am not getting the SE version, only difference i see so far is the decreased memory width, which isnt labeled anywhere)

I personally have never had any problems at all with an Asus video card, just ordered a non-pro 9600 myself for a backup box. I'm sure there are other brands that are good as well but I haven't used a brand better than Asus myself, or one that's really even close.
