mediaplayer 9 wont play full screen

I have just upgraded to player 9 and i cant get the control panel or top stripe to disappear when playing in full screen. I have the auto hide enabled but it won't go. I had no probs with 8, any ideas?

Have you downloaded the update for media player 9 from the ms win update site ?

I only installed it on Friday and have got all the updates i could find, no difference.
