No sound after installing game o_O?

I've recently installed Ragnarok Online (http://iro.ragnarokonline.com) and during the installation process it said "Installing DirectX 8.0a".
I've notice now I have *NO* sound in anything, except Myth Of Soma and its VERY VERY faint. I load up WinAMP and it just scrolls through the songs, and then I load mIRC and used the built-in MP3 Player.
"Bad DirectSound driver. Please re-install the driver or select another device from the device management option"
I downloaded DirectX 9.0b, no luck... But it doesnt just scroll through the songs now! It plays them, same with the mIRC MP3 Player.
What do I do!?

Problem sorted.
After I installed DX8.0, it was working fine, just my speaker had fallen over as I was installing and hit the MUTE button. So I'm A-OK
