I'm sorry guys. I learned the rule about one at a time, but I just can't help myself!!  OK Question numero uno- Any idea how many uses you should get out an XP Home Edition product key before you have to call the Microsoft police on the phone?? I've installed and re-installed about 20 times now and when I tried to activate this silly software, I got a big fat red light. I'm not doing anything shady, just trying to get it right. But I'm kinda wondering what the folks on the other end of my call are going to be doing. I always was a scaredy cat. And question numero dos- If I formatted my XP with NTFS file system, is that the same thing as Windows NT?? I see all this groovy software that is compatible with NT, but I don't know if that's the same thing. So, anybody out there that can help a silly girlie with either of these questions would be greatly appreciated!! Muchas Gracias amigos y amigas. By the way, I am not spanish. I'm just practicing to keep up with my neice and her fave cartoon "Dora the Explorer", so be kind to an Irish girl if I goofed up that one!! You have nothing to worry about with calling to activate XP. It's completely automated.
As for NTFS, that is how XP should be formatted. It will look no different to you from using XP formatted FAT32.

ntfs is about 1% slower, doenst get corrupted as easily, can be read but not easily modified by linux, and negates the scan disk routine if your pc crashes. definately use (new tech file system).
