What did you think of Matrix Revolutions?
(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

The third and final installment to the Matrix trilogy is showing today (or this week, depending on where you are).
What did you think of it? Was it better than the second one? Did it bring about a satisfying conclusion to the series? Was it all you ever hoped for, and more?
Share your thoughts here - and only share them if you have watched it... if you haven't watched it yet, don't vote
And no spoilers please!

Oops, I voted in the wrong one
"It sucked - the worst Matrix movie!"
I ment "Other", I don't plan on seeing just like I haven't seen the other two :P

I voted "other"
I haven't seen any, and refuse to ever see them.
I don't really like the governator.

Ill ahve to see that this weekend...then i'll report back.
First one was best, only because it had more surprises ...

It was just on cinema yesterday in my country. I am thinking about whether to see it~~~
Anyway the view of world in this film is really impressive for me...

It was great, but not as good as the first two becuase there was not as much gung-fu.

I'm taking a half day at work today so I can go watch it at 2. I've tried to stay away from the reviews, and spoiler discussions so I can at least get my own impressions at first.
Most didn't like Reloaded, and while I thought the whole speech/rave/hump scene was not really needed (I think it broke up the pacing). I did think the rest of the movie was quite good.
I'll post my poll answer when I get back later today.

Complete, utter crap. Not only the worst Matrix movie, but the worst movie I've seen in a long time period.
There were plotholes everywhere, nothing was explained, they would build things up, like the trainman, then drop them, the list goes on.

I thought it was pretty good for a plot that wasn't completely thought out by the creators
But the 2nd Matrix is the best of the three...in my opinion

I thought it was pretty damn cool, and I generally hate most over hyped films.
I won't go into details here, becaue it would probably dig too far into the spoilers area and thats what the other thread is for.

Just watched it tonight ... I'd have to say it was awesome for the large-scale battles alone
SPOILER: (highlight to read) especially the invasion of Zion.
I wasn't all that impressed by the final fight, and I wasn't 100% satisfied with the ending.
All in all, it was a great flick - not something I'd want to watch again in a theater, but it's an automatic addition to my DVD wishlist next year...

Who among you, have the same feeling as me that revolutions took quite a bit from the wizard of oz?
SPOILER: (highlight to read) Bring me the eyes of the oracle = bring me the broomstick of the witch
SPOILER: (highlight to read) Big talking heads
SPOILER: (highlight to read) machine city= that green place the wizard resided
SPOILER: (highlight to read) harvest fields= that flower bed they had to cross
SPOILER: (highlight to read) 3 pipelines=yellow brick road?
Note- my oz details arent too up to scratch

Lol, how recently did you watch the Wizard of Oz? ;o
Posted by: chaosisreality
not too recent, maybe a year or 2 ago

Actually I thought it reminded me more of the Dune series.
Espeically the Messiah book. I think it was the whole blinding thing but still be able to see that clued me into that.

Better than the second, but not the first. The ending leaves a lot to be desired but, an appropriate ending nonetheless. I'm hoping for some kind of DVD release to explain the aftermath of it all, to wrap up the trilogy more solidly.

They pretty much at the end of the movie promised more crapy movies!
and left so many questions unanswerd upsetting it was.

Hmm...
Posted by: Tecil
I was thinking that exact same thing.
Shens!

I really like my spelling skills :P. Since I never saw the ending (went to another movie) My friend told me today at lunch "Ya it was gay, the ending was pretty much this... We will make more crapy movies about the Matrix don't you worry" Also my cousin told me the best thing you can do is when a crapy part comes up go to the bathroom. Then make sure your back before I fight secne then leave agian. So now it is my enttion to play video games for several hours.

Ghetto Blasta, the plot holes are covered in The AniMatrix, well, most of them anyway. Dunno what your talking about exactly...
Uhh, the leave the ending OPEN on purpose. *Wink wink*
From what I hear, more are on the way.
Hmm, I feel like watching it again....
*goes to download*
Lol.

just saw it yesterday... i think the visual feasts just the one that really got into me.. specially the attack on zion is really awesome, specially the APU's which resembles the madcat of mechwarrior except for it's totally articulated chaingun-wielding arms though i admit it needed a better cockpit design. (man! how can a mechanized war machine that powerful leave the pilot without cover but a skeletal roll-bar to protect him even from draught?
lol how careless can design tech can get?) over-all i think it's good movie though. (how bout a mechwarrior movie next time eh? ok, that's for another topic i admit)

I think they should have left it off at the first one, it was insightful ( NOONE had done slow motion anywhere near this yet, it was dark and gritty, just great, the second one was okay, but what was new about it? i relize you have to keep your prevois fans, but i whould have liked something new, or unexpected, and the rave in REALLY will date this movie in a couple years

I saw it a few days ago and thought it was pretty good, but it leaves a lot of room for videogames, and Animatrix type movies. My brother thinks it was the best one(because of the plot).

Not enough of the well-choreographed kung fu fights that I loved so much from the previous movies. The real world battles weren't too bad though. But the plot was whacked up and the ending sucked. Yay for no 20 minute rave/dance/hump scene! Excepting the ending, I'd give it a 4/5 since it was, nonetheless entertaining and something I'd want to watch more than once.

I said other, i thought it was good not great just good
