Hi All,
I ahve a wireless USB keyboard and mouse. When I start my computer everyday the no keyboard or mouse inputs are recieved by the pc until I unplug and then replug the USB connector on my machine. The USB connector (1 of them) is the sole connection for both the mouse and keyboard. There are no ps2 ports on my mother board so I HAVE to use the USB connection.

Thanks

Hmmm, thats odd. Have you tried the connect button on the reciever and the keyboard/mouse? I know with my wireless I have to hit a button or two before it actually starts working, but it sounds like you have more of a problem. What OS are you using? If its like 98 or ME then it may not be detecting them or something. Hmm...

Hitting the connect button has no effects. I am running XP Pro

Thats really strange. Do you have all the mouseware etc installed? ANd how fresh are your batteries?

Batteries are fine. All software installed. Pulling and replacing the USB connector from back of machine isthe only thing that fixxes it.

When you first installed your keyboard/mouse setup did you let XP find it first and ask you to install or did you install the software first then hook up the keyboard. You must let XP find the device first then load the software. XP's plug and play is what's kicking in to connect you.

Uninstall your software and delete the keyboard and mouse from the device manager. Reboot and let the machine come up THEN plug in the keyboard/mouse and let XP see it first. It should ask you to install the device drivers then. Install then reboot.

Hope this has helped.
