RAM won't fit in mobo

I have 512MB(2x256) kingston pc3200 184 pin DDR SDRAM and am trying to install it on an ASUS A7n8x Deluxe mobo and it won't fit. The RAM and mobo are compatible and I am doing everything right...open side locking brackets, line up key hole, and press down until side brackets snap shut.
Well...I got one to fit after pressing really hard and wiggling it around a bit(which I probably shouldn't have done) but the second one won't fit no matter how hard I push. I'm pissed...please help.

Doublecheck and make sure the notches are in equal space and line up properly. If they do, then it should just be a matter of putting equal pressure on both sides of the dimm while pushing it in. If that doesn't work, maybe the dimm is malformed, go try getting a replacement.

they are really snugg on that mobo, i was surprised too, maybe 200mhz bus requires it to be that snugg.
make sure the white tabs are completely open. on that mobo they go straight down only, no room for putting in one side before the other. just pay attention to the bowing level of your mobo. i had to lay my pc flat when i did it, no possibility for vertical install.

before u f up your board remove it from the box
get a hammer and hold the stick steady then ... LOL....dude! forget me!
but no joke now, take the board out and place it on a flat surface
it did happen to me once when i was trying to install the second memory stick (ASUS BOARD) and me X girlfriend came and grabbed me ass...i f ed up the memory sockets 0 and 1. now the board only runs with 512.

I finally got it. I'm surprised my hand didn't slip and crush something on the mobo though.
