IE keeps changing from default browser

As of yesterday, every time I open my browser I get a prompt saying IE is not my default browser and an option to make it so.
I think I have a highjacker. I have ran my anti-virus,Search&Destroy,AdAware and I can't find any trace.
I recently removed some spyware via Search&Destroy but I can't remember the names.

assuming you want it as your default, check the box. then close ie. possibly you might need to reboot to make it save. a hijacker changes your start page, it does nothing about default browsers.

thats not a hijack. It's like when you use WinMedia, and then load quicktime and it say something along the line of transferring certain filetypes to quicktime as the default application.

If you can just use it normally, and its not doing anything weird (changing page, pop ups out of nowhere, crashing, so on....) then just continue.

After you set IE as your default browser, you can also go to tools/ internet options/ programs and uncheck the option for IE to check if its the default browser everytime it starts.

I use Avant and IE, and I had to uncheck that box so they both would stop fighting for supremicy.
