CRAZY VxD Error - I'm stumped

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I'm a rookie - running win98se on a pIII650mgz. I've already tried reformatting the hard drive and reinstalling the recovery disks. I'm getting the following error - "Invalid VxD dynamic link call to device number 3, service b." Run Windows set-up program again to correct this problem.

I can't get into windows to run it. No mode, including safe mode will allow it. Suggestions from the masters would be helpful. Thanks!

Well since you said you tried reformatting and reinstalling the OS I'd start thinking about what else could be f'in up your computer. The memory is the next thing you should go after you rule out an software issues. I'd also try and obtain a different copy of Win98se, but honestly try and find someone who has a copy of Win2K.......

That should start you off.....
