Hello all OTS people!
Well, I never usually post anything, but I found this, so what the hell. Here goes nothing.
My name is Keith and I'm from Indiana. I am currently only one semester from getting my Computer Technology Associates degree from Purdue (I'm not going to say which one though!). I aided for the technology department of my high school my senior year, but aided last year and this year, just because I like it so much. I know, it's sad.
I've used computers for years. I found a Apple ][e emulator just so I could play Oregon Trail like I used to when I was in elementary school. I now go through technology faster than ever. For instance, I'm on my third PDA (Palm is my choice for OS) and on my second laptop in about 2.5 years (Dell is what I always go with).
I am currently working on my own web server. I installed IIS on my laptop so I can play around with it. I am also playing around with Visual Basic .Net but it's been pretty dificult as I am used to VB6.
If anyone is interested, I have a couple of sites:

Thanks,
-Keith

Our "Oprhaned Apple II group" meets in group therapy at least once a month. Look to the Mac heads for more info. OS separation anxiety is a growing concern among seasoned programmers. It seems we need to constantly try to reconstruct or plan our data using the systems we felt most confortable with, even if they are now outdated, passe, or just plan dropped because Apple made a stupid decision to Consolidate all their apples (pun intended) in the MAC.

It is sad that the Apple ][e is dead. I downloaded all the DSK images from a FTP server that I could (totalling about 200MB worth!). I have all the classics like Oregon Trail and number crunchers.
Don't kill me for this next sentence as I am not sure myself why I'm thinking it. (Also, any Mac fan: please take no offense. I accidentally started a huge fight on a TechTV message board because of this.)
I am trying to find an emulator for Windows that will run MacOSX. I hated all the old Mac crap (the latest version I used was 8). I will never actually spend my hard earned cash on an actual piece of hardware though.
Anyway, I'll have to meet the "group" sometime as the denile gets hard to overcome at times. :-)
-Keith
