FFX Celestial Weapons

I have Yuna's Celestial weapon, the Nirvana, and also have the moon crest and moon sigil. However, the ability on the Nirvana still says NO AP. How do I power up the Nirvana?

all celestial weapons do and always will say NO AP , thats how it is on all FF games really , ultimate weapons mean no AP on any FF

Incorrect. There is a big egg somewhere in the Macalania Forest that will combine the Celestrial symbols with the Celestial weapons...It's at the top of a bright, glowing energy path in the woods..You have to reunite a son with his father to get it open though. Search around the Macalania Woods for a father looking for his son, when you reunite them (I think), that's when the path opens up. Present the Celestial symbols to the egg thing by talking to it, and it'll upgrade your weapons.
wacheif, if you haven't played this game and/or gotten to this sidequest, don't tell him lies about it.

i have played this game and gotten some celestial items , but not the sigil things , i was at a friend house and i watched him beat the final boss with the celestial weapons , he told me they were still NO AP , like clouds Ultimate Weapon in FF7 where youd get no AP and such , guess he lied....well... wont listen to him again...

Yes, you need the weapon, the crest, and the sigil for each weapon to power them up. Yes, you must find the father looking for his son. You must also have the cloudy mirror when you do this. Below is the weapon, sigil, and crest for each weapon. Good luck with Tidus and Kimahri.
SPOILER: (highlight to read)
Tidus: Calabolg (weapon)- beat the Chocobo trainer in the calm lands. Go to the upper northwest section and talk to the guard blocking the chasm. He should move and let you acquire the weapon.
Sun Crest- you get this after fighting Yunalesca
Sun Sigil- Race and beat the Chocobo Trainer in the last race and finish with a time of 0:0:0
Yuna- Nirvana (weapon) capture all of the fiends in the calm lands, go back to the trainer and he'll drop a chest w/the weapon inside.
Moon crest- Besaid Isle on the Beach
Sun Sigil- Beat every one of Belgemine's aeons at Remiem Temple
Auron- Masamune (weapon) Get the rusty sword from the eastern cliff of the cavern of the stolen fayth, take it to the statue of Lord Ohalland on the Mushroom Rock road.
Mars crest- Mi'hen Highroad Oldroad South
Mars Sigil- Capture 10 monsters of 10 species in 10 different regions
Wakka: World Champion (weapon)- Have the Celestial Mirror and talk to the bartender in Luca's Cafe. If she won't give it to you, you haven't played enough blitzball.
Jupiter Crest- In the Auroch's Locker Room
Jupiter Sigil- A prize in Blitzball Tournaments, but you must have all of Wakka's overdrives first.
Kimahri- Spirit Lance- Activate three Qactuar stones in the Thunder Plains. Chase the ghost flying around in the South Plains and chase it to a tower. Press square at the tower.
Saturn Crest- Mt. Gagazet after fighting Seymour
Saturn Sigil- Catch all of the blue butterflies w/o touching the red ones at Macalaia Woods (you must do this after you acquire the Highwind)
Lulu-Onion Knight- Go to Baaj Temple (Also where you acquire Anima) and go underwater. Swim in the water area by the door and you'll find a chest with it inside.
Venus crest- Farplane
Venus Sigil- Dodge lightning 200 times w/o getting hit. Note: YOU CANNOT SAVE OR LOAD WHILE DOING THIS, IT WILL CAUSE THE COUNTER TO RESET.
Rikku-Godhand- type Godhand in the Al Bhed finder on the Highwind. Once you have the Celestial Mirror, go to the secret location and open the chest.
Mercury Crest- In a whirlpool in Sanubia desert
Mercury Sigil- Beat the Village of the Cactuars mini game in the sandstorm area.

I got all of them way-back-when. Wakka's (have to win blitzball tournament after tournament after tournament) and Lulu's (have to dodge 200 lightning bolts in a row) were not necessarilly, the hardest, but certainly the most time consuming. They're the only ones I remember, anyhow.

I've read that it's just better to make a new weapon for Kimahri than actually trying to get it. Tidus is the hardest. I slammed down a control and broke it because I couldn't do it. His is the only one (other than Kimahri's) that I didn't get. The lowest time I got was 11 seconds. Auron's was the most time consuming for me. You can do Lulu's dodge in 20 min to 1/2 hour.

That's funny because I've heard of people trying for hours to get Tidus' item that you get by getting 0:0:0 racing that teacher, but I did it in like my 5th try..Never did it again though

I'll never bother trying again. Since I've beaten the game w/o cheats, I'll just use the gameshark for Tidus' and Kimahri's celestial weapons, or collect the items to custom make the same one myself.
