Integrated soundcard issue

I have a D865PERL that came with "SoundMax" sound card. I want to buy a sound card ( Creative Labs ) but will there be any conflicts since it is integrated with my motherboard???

You should not have any conflicts. You will just need to disable your integrated sound in Bios before installing a new sound card.

This is correct, but i bought a sound card a while back and found it had compatabilty problems, sounded really choppy, try checking your mobo makers website for a list of compatible sound cards, if any are listed.

Sound Blaster cards are fully compatible with almost every MOBO maker, I've never encountered any conflicts during my years of building and selling PC's.

I favor the Audigy or Audigy 2
