I can't win the Toyota Vitz cup race in professional simulation. All the strategy guides say both offered Vitz' in the game have over 100 ft.lbs. torque, but my game says it only has 30 ft.lbs. torque, even with EVERY power combination possible. I thought maybe there was just a problem with how it was written in the game, but in the first race, after just the first lap, I am already 40 seconds behind the closest competitor, and this is not due to lack of experience of the game, as I am 93 % complete, and now plan to complete the game before GT4 comes out, but it looks like I won't be able to. Can anyone Check their GT3 and let me know what it says on the Toyota Vitz spec sheet, because i'm beginning to get really flustered. Anyone else had this problem??

A long time ago on SCEA.com, there was a consumer alert about GT3. The very early shipments of the game had bugs in it and you could get a replacement disc for free if you had one of the buggy ones. But I dont see that on the site now. When did you buy the game?

Thanx for the reply...I honestly can't think of the original purchase date, but I do know that I had reserved it before it came out to make sure I could get it for my dad for his birthday, so I'm guessing it's one of the earlier ones...do you know how I might be able to go about solving my problem? Should I get in contact with SCEA.com?

Either call up SCEA or email them, calling would be better. And ask them what needs to be done. Im not sure if the offer to replace it for free is still valid, as its almost 2 years old now.
If you wanted to be 'devious', find a rental place that doesnt put stickers on their games and rent it, then replace it. But you didnt hear that from me.
