scrolling very slow

I have win98 and just got iedll.exe fixed-at least for now. Next problem when typing or scrolling-it is very slow. Any ideas how to improve this ?anyone?

hardware acceleration enabled?
somewhere in system properties menu

its been a common problem of late, no one seems to have a clue what causes it, so its probably some patch from winblows. switching to firebird or another mozilla based browser will solve it.
