Do I need a new hard drive?

Hi, my HP SMART monitor keeps tell me I need to install a new hard drive when I boot up, but I have ran Scandisc and defrag and my hard drive and Scan says it has no errors on it. I think there is most likely a problem, but where???
Help needed by a very untechnical Terry.

I've never seen a message on the monitor saying I need a new hard drive. What does the message say excactly?

if you want to be safe, yes, replace the hard drive. the smart diagnostics are usually, although not always, fairly accurate. consider making it just a storage or backup drive that wont get you too excited if it dies.
