No Support for windows xp

Why is there still no support for windows xp, i am happy that they brought out xp, it is far better than windows 98, windows 98 was a bit old and ragged, so a new version was the way to go, and it has far better facilities in windows xp, and windows xp is a lot more reliable than windows 98, i got fed up of seeing invalid page fault or illegal operation, in windows 98, but i never see them errors in windows xp. and i support microsoft all the way, that was a good move to bring out a new os, plus windows 98 will not work on hyper threading processor, and that is why they made windows xp, plus there was other reasons as well. The times are changing and microsoft are changing with the technology in order to stay ahead, otherwise if they had not brought out windows xp and windows 2000 then we would of been stuck now with hyper threading technology only working on nt4, Plus i think all these game company should accept that windows xp is out. in maybe another year or 2 windows 95 and 98, and windows me will be completely removed from support, then all these game companies will have no choice but to join the windows xp operating system, later rather than sooner, but under dueres. It is time to start making windows xp only programs and games, windows 98 has lost in this world now with processor technology winning.

What do you mean there's no support for Win XP? Thats an absurd statement...

Also, Microsoft already announced they are discontinuing support for Win 95....

Are you looking for support or are you claiming that more game companies should support XP?

You know, I'm kind of pissed too. My Windows 3.1 won't run anymore, and Microsoft won't support it!

3.1??????? Wow, talk about stone-age computing

Hello

"totalrecall" this message is meant for you to better understand what i meant.

Yes, i am meaning game companies, microsoft are supply support for windows xp users, and i am fed up of these game companies blaming microsoft, when it is them that are to blame for not update there software to work in windows xp. For example my favourite game which is "Airline Tycoon", there brought out a patch for it to work in windows xp, why can't all the other game company just do it and not pass the blame on, the company that made that patch is a german company, they don't need to resell the game they just need to make a patch for it. All companies should follow the example of the company "JoWood".

Well it should be for me too cause I had NO IDEA you were talking about game support.

Next time try not to be so vague

The creators of such "legacy" games usually can't be held responsible for the release of a new operating system, as the game wasn't originally designed to work on the new OS. In many cases, those companies may no longer exist.

Microsoft does what it can by at least attempting older OS emulation.
