When trying to reimage a PC with multiple CD's using ghost 7, I get a message about 45% through saying unable to read ghosterr.txt. I can't figure out why. Please help.

Which version is Ghost 7? Is it Norton Ghost 2003 or some other version? If it's trying to read a file called ghosterr.txt, then it most likely had an error. Are you sure that the CD is still good. You may want to try and copy the disc contents over to a new CD. (the best way to do this is to use a cd copier, such as those found in Nero or Roxio).

It just says norton ghost 7. I've tried making new copies at least 2 dozen times and still nothing. I can pull it down through my network 100% but as soon as I burn it and do it it dies on me. I've tried different spans and still the same thing.

I get the same message every time. using ghost 2003. The image is written to the CD without errors. then if I try to restore os do an integrety check, the same error. If I span the image, I get the eror after Ghost prompts me for the 2nd cd.
I'm very disapointed in this, and Symantec won't even talk to me about it without pre-payment. No warranty support. Their website is useless - just a reprint of the manual.

ps Does anyone know of a forum specific to the Ghost product. Symantec claims one is coming, but I don't expect any real help from them.

I have just experienced the same problems with Drive image 7,
also a Symantec product now. I would not buy it. Like you say
no support for stupid people like myself who do not understand
the error messages, lack of a good users manual, etc. I guess
you have answered my questions about ghost I have just posted.
