Wire/Cable Signal Loss 101

Networks Today just put up an informative little article entitled "Wire/Cable Signal Loss 101." Here's a taste;

"For many of us, knowledge of signal level degradation is a must. In industries like networking, telecommunications, CATV, and satellite, loss of signal level over distances through all sorts of medium can be an engineering nightmare. Those of us that have been practicing for years know our plant's limitations, but the newcomers and customers may not."

The article is not for the casual user, as it contains a lotta numbers, a lotta tables, and other shiny things. Well, okay, if you don't like numbers, stay away from the article!

Otherwise, it's worth a read

Comcast should read that.
