Installing USB Wireless Adapter onto iBook

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I am trying to install a Linksys Wireless-B USB Network Adapter onto an iBook i have, running Mac OS X. With most hardware, the OS normally detects them automatically when i plug in something, and installs it for me. However, it doesn't do so for this network adapter, and i have no idea how to install it. However, I understand that the network adapter might not be compatible with Mac altogether. Is it possible to install this network adapter onto the iBook, or do i have to get an Airport?

Many Thanks in advance

that device does not have an mac driver. However, OS X is essentially a modified linux, so may find a usable third party driver (meaning somebody wanted to use your device on linux and wrote a driver). Try googling "Linux Drivers Linksys"
