New Memory Trouble?

Hello,
I need some help. After I just installed a new Mushkin Hi-Proformance 512MB memory in my computer, it started to act up by the monitor flickering, or messed and buggy graphics in Diablo II and became a bit unstable. This type-situation happens once in a while.
By the way, the Ethernet Card wasn't working awhile ago, but I was able to fix by wiggling it in more. So, that was very weird.
Anyways, how can I be able to fix this problem? Everything is updated in windows. The computer currently has:
- AMD 1GHz Athlon
- Mushkin Hi-Pro. 512MB SDRAM
- GeForce 2 MX400
- ASUS A7V-133 Motherboard
- Soundblaster Live! audio card
- WD 30GB harddrive (Less than 3 gigs left)
Thanks for the any help!

I also noticed whenever the monitor flickers, it uses up a lot of CPU by using the Windows Task Manager..

Do you have a grapics card? If so, have you tried reseating it? Maybe you bumped it while installing the memory. If that doesn't work, can you put the old memory back in to see if that makes it quit?

Yes, I do.. a GeForce2 MX400 and when you said "reseating it," you mean removing it and putting it back in, right? If so, Ill try doing that even though I'm pretty sure I didn't hit the video card while I was installing the new memory.

Yes that's what I mean. Try it and see. What made me think of that is what you said about the ethernet card. Sometimes it doesn't take much of a bump to cause a loose connection.

Well, I recently reseated my video card and right now, its working better than before (Monitor Flicker-Free). If I get any other problems later on, I will let you know. Thanks!
