It should be in the Edit Profile, the option near the bottom ... if you don't see it, then you have not gained enough posts to qualify for it ... I think it's either 20 or 25 posts ... anyway, you will be able to change it eventually if you are an active participant...

Also, username changed

Which native tongue?

Tagalog or communist illicono?

Im a half breed. My mom is a full blooded flip though. I have been to the motherland once, and I was 2 months old... so it doesn't count. I am planning to visit there this summer though. My girlfriend is also a halfbreed and we plan on going back with our mothers. My mom is from Alongopo and her mom is a communist Illicono, so Im not sure where they are from.

Lets see let me try some of my tagalog..... ewanko? ummmm Aso good.... soy sauce.

Its funny I can't speak a word of it, and I can't read it, but I know whats going on in all of the flip movies and whats going on during conversations between my mom and her pack of flip friends.

How about that lumpia? Doesn't it rawk?

Like Hoy!!! http://webpages.charter.net/sporksa...0Like%20Hoy.mp3

I just want to drive a jeepney. Those things look cool.

Oh and I really have nothing against Ilocano's... I just like to give my girlfriend a hard time about it.

those are riced up jeeps that have no torque and will flunk any self-respecting emissions test ... but yeah, they're pretty fun to drive, hehe

I prefer tricycles though

Posted by: woogy

tumpak k dyan Canis! hehe wel im used to those annoying but very useful jeepneys...maybe u should try drving one spork wen u get here! hehe dats would be a really memorable moment! drive it w/ur gf! its just for fun after all!! hehehehe

This thread is a so-so thread. Too much people having fun and not enough me understanding what's going on. I feel left out

Posted by: compukeith

Altron, I'm with ya.

I can speak english

Posted by: N.W.A_Kid

I can speak Spanish, but what I can speak of it, if anyone was to translate it, would get me banned for 5 lifetimes.

I feel left out of this thread too. Always feels like when you're surronded by others speaking a language other than english, and they're laughing, that they're making fun of you

edit: It's like when I go to a restaurant called Lozada's in the West Side Market in Cleveland, none of the cooks speak english (but they're in the back anyway) and very few of the waitresses do. So I'll place my order, and I'll talk to one of the girls, then someone else will come up to the counter saying something in Spanish (it's been years since I studied it), and they'll pick up in Spanish and I get lost.

Lumpia.. OMG.. damn. I want some.. please.. I have an aunt and a cousin from the Philippines.. the food from there is awesome.. man I miss all that..use to go over for dinner like once a month..

anyone know where I can get the recipe for Lumpia.???

Posted by: Canis Lupus

Well, there are two common versions of lumpia ... the lumpiang sariwa, translated as "raw/fresh lumpia" (which is kinda like a fresh burrito-like egg roll, with mostly raw vegetables and some cooked meat inside, and usually served with a special sauce poured on it) and one called lumpiang shanghai (which is essentially meat rolled into a small egg roll and cooked to a golden crisp over a pan with cooking oil, and usually accompanied with a small helping of dipping sauce). Dunno much about what to call the ingredients since I don't make them myself.

Here's a recipe for the lumpiang shanghai, though...
