Counter-Strike Server Help Plz

Hi all im trying to geta dedicated server up off of steam but its only lunching ther server for a lan game even with the server option not set on lan im not behind a router or any of that im connected to the net with comcast high speed internet from the modem to my pc and id love it if some knows-any one or any thing about how to fix this problom if so plz let me in on it thx

try re installing counter strike. Steam files tend to over lap during installation.

ya ahmed i did that 3 times lol at first i throught it was my falt i throught i deletd stuff when i was fixin my comp had to muc stuff on it and still didnt work unless my cable modem is puttin out its on isp number but i dont think it can do tha can it

well im using steam its just that there servers allways have hight ping and my freinds all live with in a block or two from me and we want to play togter were im the admin so i can actavate the chiken duels and stuff and i just reinstalled it agin but its still comeing up lan not internet i dont get it ?? and more ideas

If your hosting a dedicated server, off you're computer it probably wouldn't find it under LAN you would have to find you're ip by doing run then "ipconfig" without the "s or just finding a tool or webpage to do it for you then add you're ip to favourites and it should work in there. Then you would join it like that and you would have to make sure it's set up so you have administration privs, or if you have $20 a month thats like $5 a month for you and you're buddies if you pitch in you can get probably a premium server which would be up always usually 20-60ms depending on how close you are to the company, you would also have admin privs on that server too. but that's just me, your decision post again if this isn't helpful
