Ok, this might be a really dumb question, im not really good with this computer stuff yet. So sorry if its dumb. Alright, i bought a 32xmax rewritable/playback cd rom drive. I have installed it and my computer has recognized it and has labeled it the E: drive. But every time i put a disc in whether it be a audio cd, or a game it says device is not ready, not accesible. I have hooked up these before on my friends computers and everything worked fine. But they had discs to install the cd rom. I bought this a while ago (like 5 years ago) and if it had a disc i dont have it anymore. Maybe thats the problem. Any ideas you have would definately be of help.
Thank,
Bobby

try going to the manufacturer's website to download the drivers (if any are needed). If that doesn't fix it, your drive may just be worn out.

If it came with a support CD look on that first. I once went through the trouble of finding and downloading a driver when it was on my support CD all along.
