Jungian personality and temperment type

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

This test is almost always extremely interesting. It's not a normal, lame ass personality test, but one based on work from Carl Jung & Keirsey & people like that. If you've never taken it, do, then look here for a description of yourself.

I've taken it a few time because some of the questions vary, but usually score as an INTJ , though I can score low on the INTP chart depending on how I answer a couple of them.

Anyway, if you've never taken any kind of MBTI test before, you might be interested in it. It might even give you explanations of your own behaviour that you'd never understood in the past.

I predict a lot of INTJs and INTPs here.

Some other good links, just change the profile in the url:

http://www.personalitypage.com/INTP_per.html <-- Reading this burned like therapy.

Ewww relationships. Yuk.

INTPs get their own special page here http://www.intp.org/intprofile.html

here's a review of results from the last time this test was mentioned

And yeah, I was INTP

Ah. Bummer. I did a search for INTJ figuring that would turn up any threads with it, but got no hits. I wasn't going to post it if it had already been posted.

Does that search feature not scan the archives? Or did I just do something wrong?

Posted by: Canis Lupus

prolly something you did ... coz I just clicked the "Search Forums" and typed INTP, and got three/four topic results ... got results too when I typed on the Forum Quick Search field above

Anyway, feel free to discuss ... no one can reply on the Archives section anyway...

Every time this topic comes up, and I reread the ENTP description, I'm always amazed by how completely and accurately it describes me.

Your Type is
INTP
Introverted Intuitive Thinking Perceiving

67---------- 33 --------33--------- 11

Quote:

INTPs do not like to lead or control people. They're very tolerant and flexible in most situations, unless one of their firmly held beliefs has been violated or challenged, in which case they may take a very rigid stance. The INTP is likely to be very shy when it comes to meeting new people. On the other hand, the INTP is very self-confident and gregarious around people they know well, or when discussing theories which they fully understand.

That's me.

I know what I did, now. I only searched in General and Off Topic, which I guess doesn't include archives of GaOT, so I got no hits.

So now I know.

I'm just amazed by the abundance of accurate information that a quiz that short and seemingly mundane can produce. Plus, it's a good short-cut to getting to know people. I tend to post that (or read the existing results if I manage to find the existing thread) on new forums a lot. It makes for an interesting study to watch how people interact on the webernet in light of how their MBTI type is expected to act.
