My PC locks-up/freezes radomly whenever I play games or video. I recently put my system together with the following specs: ASUS P4P800 Deluxe, P4 2.6GHZ 800fsb, (2) Corsair 256MB Value Select Ram in dual mode, Connect3d ATI Radeon 7000, 160GB Seagate IDE Drive, & 200GB Maxtor IDE Drive. I am running on XP Pro SP1. I was running DirectX 9b, but used a utility to install DirectX 8.1 to try to resolve my issue. I have also downloaded the latest video & chipset drivers and mobo bios. I have Asus PC Probe running, my cpu temp avg is 30degC, mobo temp 32degC. Please help I have tried everything that I comes to mind. Thanks in advance.

How much space duz the game take up on the cpu? if it takes up 2 much it will be because ur cpu duznt hav enuff free space. Also run a chek up on ur sound and video.

and also rite clik on mycpu, then go to properities, then go to performance, then see how much system resources you have.
I reccomend MINIMUN amount of resources u need is about 80%
