Windows Media Player

Hello, im using windows ME and ive just come across a problem with the Media Player. When i try to open any files that USED to play perfectly well, nothing happens. That is, double clicking, using open, etc doesnt cause it to open. Further, nothing appears in the ctrl alt del menu when i do this. Any help would be great, thx.

specify used to play perfectly.
if its not showing up in the task manager than windows dosent know its there. try reinstalling (if you can) or looking for upgrades that might help.

Have you installed any new codecs?
