My cd-rw has suddenly stopped working. It won't show up in My Computer and in the device manager properties box it says "Your registry might be corrupted. (Code 19)" I went through the troubleshooting guide thing and none of that worked or helped with the problem. I removed the device and it reinstalled and all that, and I also updated the firmware just because I found it looking for the drivers. Anyways, how do I get this back to working? Where would I begin to look for whats wrong in the registry and how to fix it? It is a Mitsumi CR-487ETE, and I'm on Windows 2000 Professional. But now that I think about it, almost a week ago now, the computer was getting a stop error 0x0000001E KMODE something or other. When I looked it up on the microsoft site I think it was, it had me delete 2 keys from the LocalMachine/System/CurrentControlSet. I dont know why it would just start to act up now though, and if that is the reason at least Im not getting stop error anymore.

Found the site and I think the two files were Cdr4_xp and Cdralw2k from the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\CurrentControlSet\Services. Is there any way for someone to copy those entries and post them here? Otherwise I have no idea what to do, will probably have to reinstall Win 2000, which I don't want to do. I WANT MY CD DRIVE DAMNIT!! haha
