That's because he's a ninja. He's not interested in irrelevant emotions. Because on one hand they don't give a crap, but on the other hand, ninjas are very careful and precise. Ninjas are mammals and don't even think twice about flipping out and cutting someone's head off. Maybe not even once! That's what I call Real Ultimate Power.

I didn't say emotions, I said a personality. The ninja from Shinobi (Just looked at the manual, his name is Hotsuma) just follows the base storyline, which is why I like the manga ninjas better.
Oh, and Hotsuma did have some stupid little emotional thing with that ***** Ageha, but that's irrelevant.

I don't follow the game too much and I only have DoA2:HC for my PS2.

He's not that good of a ninja IMO.
I remember a long time ago playing Tenchu 1 playing a level where I'm in a cave rescuing the other ninja.
I came across a guard patrolling a bridg and thought this would be an opportune chance to come up and execute him before I was spotted.
It worked, I executed him by slitting his throat, then Rikimaru did his ninja posing after the death......and stepped straight off the bridge amidst it
I never played as him again.
