First of all, what operating system are you running, and how much memory do you have? Make sure you are running the latest version of directX. Update your video and sound drivers if necessary. Also, check for a latest patch when the website is back up for maintenance, or just do a search and see if somebody has a patch on their website. Turn off all programs running in the background, including (if you feel you need to) the anti-virus. Hope one of these things can solve your dilemma.

thanx for the input.
im running xp ive got 32 meg memory ive got latest directX and drivers.
i dont think any of my background tasks are the problem because all other programs work fine.
i'll check back with their website and see what they've got

**edit**
not 32 ram 512. hehe.. was looking in the wrong spot

lol i was going to say, how in the hell are you running anything more than windows 3.1 with 32 megs?

edit: does that mean you have a 32 meg video card? if so, that could also be your problem.

ok, finally got around to looking at their official site and no patches that i could find. they had ones for jetfighter 4 but not 5
i dont know what im running on my video card at the moment, tho i know it a high end geforce model. i dont know if thats a big deal or not tho.
