TI-83 Plus

i have a TI-83 Plus, and i have a problem with it that when i turn it on it is all black, so i tried to lighten it but it didnt work, and i tried to hold delete and take out the battery and put it back in but it didnt work either, wut can i do to fix my problem, it stays black and i cant do any thing, i cant even put numbers or open programs, what can i do?

If you hold 2nd and keep pressing the down arrow it never lightens? Remember that you need to press 2nd every time before you press the down arrow. It should eventually lighten it.
If you want to just take out the batteries and reset it, take out all the AAAs and then take out the little watch battery. It's behind a screw in the battery compartment.
