File Transfer Errors

Whenever I download a large file (In this case America's Army 2.0 full installation) and I try to run it, I get "bad CRC error" or "File is corrupted", and this is persistent whether I'm downloading from my home cable connection, the local internet cafe's T-1, or the OC-12 at work. I'm using eTrust InnoculateIT for virus checking, Spybot Search & Destroy, Ad-Aware 6, etc. How can I fix this? It's happened with every file I've tried to download larger than 2 or 3 MB. Sucks that I just paid out $20 to use the Internet Cafe's T-1 for 4 hours and the file I downloaded comes up with bad CRC error when I try to open it.

Are you using IE to download the files?

Tried with IE, Mozilla, and the LX Download manager for the file in question (America's Army 2.0), IE and Mozilla for the other files, and nothing seems to be working! If it makes any difference I'm using XP Pro, build 2600 with SP1a and all hotfixes/security fixes, etc... Am going to try opening a ticket with microsoft tech support. Beyond that, I'm stumped.

If it's just the one file, then maybe it's corrupted on the server. Or or does it do the same with other files?

I've tried America's Army downloading from many different servers, I've also tried other files (AquaMark3, SysMark4, 3dMark03), they come up with the same problem. This is really frustrating!!!

Strange, you usually get errors if download failed somehow. Try download from this link

And check the filesize too; win version size is 650,91.
Also try to run some other big files on your comp, maybe you get same error.

Still doesnt work from that link...
I updated winzip and I still get CRC error, even when opening the same file that works on a friend's machine (the one who burned it), it still doesnt work on my machine. I always get CRC Error from ArmyGame.cab

hi drizzt, im getting the same problem as you are i even got my friend to burn me a copy of AA and i still get the aa.cab crc error...

Hi, i have that same probs, exsactly that same prob, running on: Athlon 2.0 Ghz with an K7SEM mainboard,512 SDram, 64mb mmx440 120Gb WD. Harddrive, OEM version of XP PRO,, dont know the exsactly version.

sounds to me like your os's are all corrupted, or the game is just corrupted and probably doesnt work on win xp.

i had this ploblem too ,i downloaded the file from
3dgamers
then i got this error
so i went to fileplanet.com
download again and it worked
