inserting photo image in Yahoo email

How do I paste a photo image into a Yahoo email message? I want the photo in the text, not as an attachment. Whenever I attempt to copy and paste a photo it either appears blank or as the photo's outline with a thumbnail in the top left corner. Attempts to open it by right-clicking on the thumbnail are unsuccesful. I know there's nothing strange about the photo, becasuse my wife can insert it using outlook and the photo is part of the email every time.

You have to have the photo hosted somewhere. If you have a geocities account, which you do since you have a Yahoo address, then upload it to your site with geocities. Then, in your email, use the following code:
<img src="[image link such as www.blah.com/blah.jpg]">
