Has anyone ever tried, or know anyone that has participated in such things as:
www.paidsurveysonline.com
www.Get-Paid-For-Surveys.net
paidsurveysonline.com
www.surveys-paid.com
Or anything of the like? Are these things for real? Some advertise like $75+ per survey.. Whats the deal with these things??

Notice that most of these sites require some sort of enrollment or signup fee That's probably how they earn their money... I haven't tried those things because mileage varies and I don't have much faith in most "get rick quick" schemes... Of course, you can always take the plunge yourself and tell us what you think

Huh?

it means, even though they say you can earn as much as $75 per survey, it doesn't mean you'll automatically get that amount (or even half that amount) in the first surveys you get ... it depends on the interests you put, and the type of surveys you're willing to fill up ... a company may just pay five cents for you to fill up a survey, or maybe a dollar ... your mileage varies...

I tried out a couple of them since it didn't cost anything to join. Pinecone Research really does pay you $5 for every survey you do and the checks never bounce. I found them in an advertising banner on a board I go to. Also, if you show interest in whatever the advertising concept is, you might find yourself receiving a box full of whatever it is to try and take another survey about. I thought a frozen chicken product sounded pretty good and said so, a few days later a Fed Ex truck comes up the driveway with a box containing 6 boxes of frozen chicken packed in dry ice. I made $10 and got 6 days meals out of that. Several other times there have been boxes of things delivered here.
Another survey place is Harris Poll where you earn points for every survey you take. Once you build up so many points you can redeem them for things. I just received a free lamp that would have cost me $40 at Walmart.
Any place that wants you to spend money to make money is a scam.

It isn't quite the same thing, but when I was younger (If anyone can remember the name of this damn cereal, please let me know!) I was invited by this survey place to come in and eat some up and coming cereal, watch a commercial, then talk about my opinion on it and earn $20. Needless to say, I went. It held true. The box of cereal featured this crazy wizard on the cover, and there were these little pillow-like things and inside, they were filled with different fruit flavors. The cereal is no longer on the market, and I can't remember the name of it. This was about 9-12 years ago, I can't exactly remember how old I was.
