Webmonkey is a good resource. For someone who has little-to-no experience with HTML, click on the 'Beginners' button at the top right-hand side of the page. There are some excellent tutorials, cheat-sheets, and examples.

I also like the W3 website. They're the people who create the HTML standards. They have good info.
