(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Since I upgraded to XP and Media Player 9, My Video clips blank out 20 seconds before the end. The audio continues.
Does anyone have any experience/solution?

20 seconds before the end?
weak computer coupled with wmp trying to access internet for something?
is it all video clips, and all formats, and all lengths?

Thank you for your interest
The porblem seems to ver very consisten will all video lengths and formats although I have not systematically looked at the formats.
What do you mean by "weak computer". I did not have this porblem when I was running WMP 7 05 8 on Windows Millenium.
Many thanks,

Hello
Sounds to me that you have some currupted codecs on installed on your computer, if the codec is intel indeo is the most common one for most videos, and mpeg is another, i have given you an example picture of what should be in windows xp. To access this you will have to go to control panel and system icon, then the hardware tab then device manager, then look for the sound open that catergory and look for video codecs, it should look like the the one i have given you, you may not have as many video codec as me but i would reinstal the intel indeo 5 one and reinstall the mpeg 4 one which is at the top, you can either do this from the windows xp disk, download them from intel.

Andrew
