I'm trying to open the ports so I can send music on mIRC. Can you help me how I can open the ports?

Do you have a router or a firewall? If yes to either (or both), please tell us what kind of router and/or firewall and we'll be able to walk you through opening the ports.

Well I don't think I have a firewall. I do have norton system works 2003. Yes I do have a router. Most likely thats the problem. My router is a "Linksys wireless-g". If you would like to talk to me on AIM my name is No LiMiT Army187.
I appreciate replying to me. Thanks!

To log in to your wireless-g Linksys router, type http://192.168.1.245 into your web browser. This will take you to your router admin page.

If this is the first time you've logged into the admin interface, leave the login blank. The password is "admin" (no quotes).

Find the port forwarding option. On my linksys router, it's under the "Advanced" options tab. Type in the necessary ports and your internal IP address, and you're set to go.

To find your internal IP address, go to Start --> Run. Type cmd and hit enter. Type netstat -a at the prompt to see what your internal IP address is.
