"Help and Support" not working after XP Pro install (from Win98)

Hello! I am new to this forum. 'Hope everyone is doing well!

This past week, I did a complete install of WinXP Pro. My PC was running Win98 Second Edition. Now; "Help and Support" will not open. It briefly gives me the hourglass, and that's it. Help and Support Center at the top (tool bar) does nothing.

It is started in 'Services'. At one Point, I received an "Error 1083: Executable Program that this program is configured to run in does not implement the service".

Another message I have received is "Windows cannot open 'Help and Support' because a system service is not running.

Anyone have any ideas? I appreciate it!

Hey man,
A couple questions for you......first, when you say "Complete Install", does that mean you reformatted the drive?

Secondly, What's the specs on your PC? Speed? Processor? Memory? HD space?

Lastly, If you've upgraded without reformatting, this could be your problem. As soon as I know more, I can send you some links to MS support which could help you out.
