staying connected

while being on-line how do i stay connected if i'm not surfing...in other words netzero will disconnect me if it shows that i'm not active on the web.if that makes any since? i could be chatting with some one in a room but netzero still will dissconnect. just because i'm not using the web.

that is what you get with a free isp. they dont want you eating their bandwidth unnecessarily.
